BYD Is Serious About Commitment To Build A Renewable Energy Ecosystem In Indonesia, This Is The Stage

JAKARTA - The presence of BYD in Indonesia at the beginning of this year added to the public's enthusiasm for NEV in the automotive industry in the country. Through consistent sustainable development and innovation of NEV, BYD is committed to providing a total solution for new energy transportation.

The move was taken to help accelerate and facilitate the transition to electrification, on a global scale by building an environmentally friendly electric car ecosystem.

In line with that, BYD continues to emphasize its commitment to building an environmentally friendly ecosystem in Indonesia. This is also done in other countries BYD is located, through the use of electric vehicles and environmentally friendly technology.

This brand from China believes that this initiative can be carried out to see the enthusiasm of the community which is very high in technology owned by electric cars and its contribution to the environment. This is done by collaborating with local partners in Indonesia from various sectors.

"We will continue to invite various local partners to work together with BYD, one of which is a leading national banking company. We will continue to expand cooperation and collaboration with other leading institutions in Indonesia," said Eagle Zhao, President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, in an official statement, Tuesday, February 20.

BYD's commitment was strengthened by signing the MoU with PT Bank Mandiri on the first day of IIMS 2024. The cooperation carried out by the two giant companies departed from the alignment of the vision of BYD and Bank Mandiri, namely Indonesia's Sustainability Champion for A Better Future. This strong form of collaboration is expected to support the transition to Indonesia Zero Carbon Emissions by 2060 and for a healthier future.

The business expansion carried out by BYD and PT Bank Mandiri is only the first step to expand the network with local partners, including its collaboration with dealers Arista and Haka Group, as BYD's official dealer in Indonesia. In early February, BYD Arista opened eight branch dealers in Indonesia simultaneously to make it easier for BYD to interact directly with consumers. This education of concern for the environment strengthens BYD's early existence in Indonesia.

In the next strategy as the world's leading NEV producer, BYD announced that it will build a new local manufacturing and production center in Indonesia. This factory will be built in stages and it is hoped that in the future it can create thousands of jobs that will contribute and support the local supply chain, and can have a positive impact on the economy. BYD believes that mass production can make product prices more competitive. Optimizing the company is confident that within a period of one to two years Indonesia will become the largest NEV provider in Asia.

Local manufacturing is BYD's strategy to engage deeply in the automotive market industry, our goal is to create and improve local supply chains for Indonesian electric vehicles. Not only for retail, but we are also concentrating on collaboration in the Asian market ecosystem," he added.

The form of BYD's commitment to the Indonesian market market will consistently continue with the presence of EV products of various types. Of course, it is worth waiting for BYD's work in Indonesia.
