The Price Of Jimny 5 Doors Fried By Sales Persons At IIMS 2024 And Viral On Social Media, Suzuki Opens Voice

JAKARTA - Suzuki Jimny 5 door was officially launched at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024 and immediately became the main focus of visitors at this annual exhibition.

At the time of launch, Suzuki also announced the price for Jimny's 5 doors, with the cheapest price being IDR 462 million on-The-Road (OTR) Jabodetabek. However, unfortunately, there are several unscrupulous sales who raised the price of the car at the exhibition and ended up going viral on social media.

Responding to this problem, Harold Donnel, 4W Marketing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), provided clarification on this issue. He stated that the price announced at the launch was recommended figures.

"We from Suzuki Indonesia first want to apologize if there has been confusion in the last few days regarding the price perception difference from Jimny's 5 doors that we just launched," said Harold when interviewed by VOI at JIExpo Kemayoran, Monday, February 19, 2024.

In his explanation, he said that in the automotive industry, there are regulations governing business monopoly practices, as regulated in Law no. 5 of 99. Therefore, Suzuki provides a price recommendation for the Jimny 5 door.

"We recommend that the retail price for the Jabodetabek OTR region range from Rp462,000,000 to Rp478,600,000," he added.

However, he stressed that there is a price limit that sales personnel and the public must comply with. If there are unscrupulous salesmen who increase prices excessively, this can be reported through Suzuki's sweet service.

"If there are practices that deviate from the retail price we recommend, please immediately report them to us through our best friend Suzuki so that we can follow up," he concluded.
