In fact, the location of the cell is located on the boundary of the Tanah Abang police dormitory building. But ironically, the detainees managed to break into the iron iron trellis of the prison cell.
Based on the information gathered, 16 prisoners escaped using aids such as iron saws, sarongs and prayer mats.
"After successfully cutting the iron from the detention room, they fled using a sarong from the second floor to get down," said one resident source, Monday, February 19.
Residents said that night it sounded like an animal was walking. No resident realized that a prisoner had escaped.
"Those prisoners escaped while taking away 5 pairs of sandals belonging to the residents of the police dormitory," he said.
It is known that the prisoners escaped through the front door of the police guard. At that time it was known that no members were guarding the entrance.

Previously, it was reported that 16 prisoners from the Tanah Abang Metro Police escaped from the prison cell in the early hours of Monday, February 19.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said two prisoners from 16 people who escaped from prison cells were arrested.
"Currently, there are still 14 other detainees who escaped from the Tanah Abang Metro Police detention cell room," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Monday, February 19.
In order to handle the case of escaped prisoners, the Central Jakarta Metro Police formed a special team to hunt down the perpetrators. The special team is a combination of the Criminal Investigation Unit, the Narcotics Unit and the Tanah Abang Metro Police.
