KPU Says 35 Officers Organizing The 2024 Election Died And Thousands Fell Sick
JAKARTA - KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'Ari said 35 election organizers had received reports that they had died and thousands of people had fallen ill.
"There were 35 people who died, with details of PPS (voting Committee) 3 people, KPPS (voting Organizing Group) 23 people and Linmas 9 people," said Hasyim in an official statement received, Sunday, February 18.
Meanwhile, 3,909 election organizers fell ill, with details of 119 PPK, 596 PPS, 2,878 KPPS and 316 Linmas.
Based on the recap of deaths and work accidents of the Adhoc agency, the most cases of officers who died occurred in Central Java province as many as 7 people, followed by the province of Central Java 6 people.
For the provinces of South Sulawesi and DKI Jakarta, there are 2 people. Meanwhile, the provinces of Aceh, West Sumatra, Riau, Banten, Yogyakarta, NTT, Maluku and South Papua have 1 person
In addition, election organizers who fell ill or had the most work accidents were in the West Java region, which reached 1,995 people.
