Danlanud Yohanis Kapiyau Timika Lt. Col. Pnb Kamto Adi Saputra said that the PK-WJT 72-600 Wings Air ATR aircraft had been at Timika Mozes Kilangin Airport since Saturday, February 17.
"So the chronology is that the Wings Air ATR 72-600 PK-WJT aircraft flew from Sentani Airport in Jayapura Regency, Papua to Yahukimo, when it was about to land was shot by an unknown person on Saturday (17/2), at 13.14 WIT," said Lt. Col. Kamto Adi Saputra, ANTARA, Sunday, February 18.
According to Danlanud, after the shooting incident, the plane immediately continued its flight from Nopjalan Yahukimo Airport to Mozes Kilangin Timika Airport.
"This plane experienced a shooting incident in the rear left side lobby, then penetrated the passenger's rear cabin with seat number 19 A," he said.

He explained that it was suspected that the shooting was carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) which opened fire from across the Braza River, at Ujung Runway 07, Nophamphoon Dekai Airport, Yahukimo.
"For the time being, the condition of the Pilot, Co Pilot, and other passengers is safe, and there were no casualties in this incident," he said again.
He added that the crew on the plane were Rivaldy Putrasena Pilot, Co Pilot Rani Avianto, and two flight attendants Nadia Angela Tampas and Caroline Aprilia.
"The Wings Air ATR 72-600 PK-WJT pilot, namely Rivaldy Putrasena, Co Pilot and two flight attendants survived the shooting incident at Nophamphoon Airport, Dekai Yahukimo," he said.
