The Joint SAR Team Is Still Looking For A Lost Grandfather In The South Konawe Forest
JAKARTA - The Kendari Basarnas Joint SAR divided two teams to search for a missing grandfather in the forest between Bakutaru Village and Marga Cinta Village, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra).
Head of Basarnas Kendari Muhammad Arafah, said that the search for a grandfather named Supriadi (87), a resident of Sumber Sari Village, Moramo District was the third day of SAR operation.
"At 07.00 WITA, the joint SAR team carried out SAR operations again, the search was carried out by dividing into two teams," said Muhammad Arafah, Sunday, February 18.
He mentioned that the two joint SAR teams conducted a search around the estimated location of the last victim with each search radius covering an area of five kilometers.
Muhammad Arafah explained that several elements involved in the search for the missing grandfather, namely the Kendari Basarnas, the Southeast Sulawesi Police K9 Team, Moramo Koramil, Moramo Police, surrounding communities, and the families of the victims.

"The tools used are rescue bags, ambulances, trail motors, evacuation palsars, medical palsars, communication equipment, drones, and several other safety support equipment," he said.
He said that the search was carried out with weather conditions generally cloudy and with the potential for light to heavy rain.
Previously, the Kendari Basarnas Rescue Team conducted a search operation for a missing grandfather in the forest between Bakutaru Village and Marga Cinta Village, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra).
The report on the disappearance of the victim was first informed by the family to the Kendari Basarnas on Friday at around 10.15 WITA.
