PKS Defeats PDIP, PSI And Gerindra At Tokyo And Osaka TPS
JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party won the highest votes at the polling stations (TPS) in Japan, both Tokyo and Osaka.“ PKS appreciates the work of PKS administrators, cadres and sympathizers for the votes obtained. This is a high trust from Indonesian citizens in Japan and continues the tradition of PKS victory in Japan,” said PKS spokesman Muhammad Iqbal who was contacted from Tokyo, Antara, Thursday, February 15.Based on data at the Tokyo TPS, PKS received 449 votes (19.3 percent) followed by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) 354 votes (12.5 percent), the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) 322 votes (13.8 percent), the Gerindra Party 319 votes and the Golkar Party 160 votes.The total number of votes was 2,571 votes, 2,325 votes were valid and 246 votes were invalid.Meanwhile, PPLN Osaka recorded PKS garnering 256 votes (22.9 percent), which was attended by PDI Perjuangan 166 votes (14.9 percent), Gerindra Party 164 votes (14.7 percent). The total number of votes was 1,188 votes, 1,116 valid votes and 72 votes were invalid.However, the total vote does not include ballots via post because it will only be calculated on February 17."“Alhamdulillah, based on the results of the TPS vote calculation, currently PKS is in the top position again like the elections in previous years. We hope that in the calculation of the post votes at the end of the week, PKS will still be the winner," said Chairman of the Japanese PKS Information and Service Center (PIP) Chandra Juliansyah Tobing.Based on the track record of the elections from 2004 to 2019, the party bearing the symbol of the moon and rice remained in the top position with 1,950 votes in the 2004 elections and 1,488 votes in the 2009 elections.However, in the 2014 election, his position shifted to second place with 1,012 votes because PDIP was ahead in first place. In 2019, his position returned to the top with 2,639 votes.Meanwhile, the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 02 Prabowo-Subianto and Gibran Rakbuming Raka won at the Osaka TPS with 371 votes followed by the pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar 302 votes and the pair Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD 167 votes.
The Prabowo-Gibran pair also won the most votes at the Tokyo TPS with 1,241 votes, meanwhile pair number 01 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar 813 votes and pair number 03 Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD 506 votes.
