BANYUWANGI - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa targets the construction of relocation residences for victims affected by flash floods in Banyuwangi Regency to be completed within three months.The construction of housing located on land owned by PTPN 1 Regional V Kalibaru Wetan Village, Kalibaru District, will later build the house of 66 families who were victims of flash floods that occurred in November 2022."The target for the construction to be completed is three months, there are 66 houses built," said Khofifah after the inauguration of the construction of a new residential area affected by flash floods in Banyuwangi, East Java, Antara, Sunday, February 11.Khofifah added that the relocation process before the launch of the construction had experienced a number of challenges. However, it can be resolved well thanks to the synergy and communication with the community and land owner, PTPN."This relocation process is no later than the others, such as in Bondowoso, Lumajang, Ponorogo, Trenggalek, Pacitan, and Blitar. In addition, this is the first time the relocation has connected the village," he said.Governor Khofifah added that the location used is owned by PTPN, so it takes time to take care of all administrative processes for land delegation."I ask to communicate back to PTPN, because there is indeed a process of waiving the rights from PTPN to the community, it requires administrative procedures from PTPN to the provincial government and then to residents," he said.Governor Khofifah expressed his gratitude to PTPN 1 Regional V for allowing the land to be used for the relocation of residents affected by the flash flood.He hopes that the affected residents can now be calm because the relocation housing built is safe from disaster risk and is still near Kalibaru Wetan Village. So that residents do not need to adapt anymore because they are still in their hometown."Hopefully the process goes smoothly, and people don't need to adapt new, because this is a place to socialize so far. The cost of residential development is allocated by the East Java BPBD."Meanwhile, the construction of environmental facilities is supported by the Banyuwangi Regency Government. Land acquisition is allocated through the budget of the East Java Province Public Housing, Settlement and Cipta Karya Office and is currently still in the process of issuing the location," he explained.
