South Solok KPU Cancels PSI, Perindo, PKN And Indonesia's Change Guard As Election Participants
The General Election Commission (KPU) of South Solok Regency, West Sumatra, canceled four political parties (parpol) as participants in the 2024 General Election for various reasons."The cancellation of the political parties participating in the election because they do not have management, does not apply for candidates for members of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of the Regency and does not submit initial reports of campaign funds," said South Solok KPU Chairman Ade Kurnia Zelli in Padang Aro, Antara, Sunday, February 11.Four political parties that were canceled as election participants in South Solok were the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), the Indonesian Revised Guard Party, the Perindo Party and the Archipelago Awakening Party (PKN).For PSI, he said, the cancellation as an election participant was due to not submitting the initial report of campaign funds.PSI itself has management and has proposed five candidates for members of the South Solok Regency DPRD."With PSI cancellation as a participant, the legislative candidate will automatically be crossed out," he said.Meanwhile, the Indonesian Revised Guard Party was canceled because it did not apply for a candidate for DPRD member and did not submit an initial report of campaign funds.Meanwhile, the Perindo Party and the Nusantara Awakening Party were canceled because they did not have management, did not propose candidates for members of the South Solok Regency DPRD and did not submit initial reports of campaign funds. In addition, the KPU also dropped one of the legislative candidates from the Gerindra Party from the permanent candidate list (DCT)."All political parties and candidates that have been canceled or crossed out will be announced at the polling stations (TPS)," he said.
