Police Arrest Half Kilogram Of Methamphetamine Dealer In Semarang

SemarANG - Polrestabes Semarang, Central Java, revealed the circulation of cross-island methamphetamine with evidence of 541 grams or more than half a kilogram.

Kasat Resnarkoba Semarang Polrestabes Kompol Hankie Fuariputra said the suspect DS (29), a resident of Kalianget, Wonosobo Regency, was arrested while distributing methamphetamine at a gas station in the capital city of Central Java.

"Information from the public, then an investigation and disguise was carried out to pull the perpetrator out," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 9.

When secured, the police found 120 grams of crystal methamphetamine under the perpetrator's motorcycle seat.

In developing the case, the police then searched the room of the perpetrator's boarding house in Banjarnegara Regency.

Kompol Hankie said that from the boarding house, 421 grams of methamphetamine was found.

Based on the suspect's statement, the methamphetamine was obtained from someone in Aceh. In the past year, continued Hankie, the perpetrator had circulated about 2.5 kg of crystal methamphetamine.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics.
