Choose Inter Milan, Piotr Zielinski Leave Napoli

"Both parties have finalized Zielinski's contract. The relevant documents are expected to have been signed by the end of this month. If according to the plan, he will arrive at the San Siro on a free transfer," said Romano.

Zielinski last renewed his contract at Napoli in 2020. However, the former Udinese player later rejected an offer for a contract extension from Napoli.

The issue circulating Zielinski is still hurt because he was not included in the squad competing in the Champions League. He responded to his disappointment by rejecting the club's new contract.

However, Napoli's sporting director, Mauro Meluso, denied the rumors. According to him, Zielinski was not included purely for reasons of football.

"We have spoken to each other. Their decision is entirely related to football and is very logical," said Meluso.

"Zielinski is a professional player. He will continue to play even though only in Serie A," he said.

Zieinski was recruited by Napoli in 2016. He has scored 50 goals and 46 assists during 355 matches. Zielinski helped Napoli win the Coppa Italia and the title Serie A 2022/2023.
