Seriously! 240 TPS In Papua Still Constrained By Internet Networks
PAPUA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Papua Province said that out of a total of 3,109 polling stations (TPS) spread across nine districts/cities, 240 polling stations were constrained by the internet network. As a result, the KPU asked everyone who is part of the Voting Organizing Group (KKPS) to use Android mobile phones (HP) for areas that are constrained by the internet network."So we need support from related parties to be able to make it easier for the internet network so that the results of the recapitulation of votes can be downloaded into the Sirekap application," said Papua KPU Chairman Steve Rightn in Jayapura, Antara, Wednesday, February 7."So later the KPPS will take a photo of the results of the recapitulation of the sound and then go to a network to download the results to the Sirekap application," he said.As in Mamberamo Raya Regency, he said, there are around 71 polling stations that are still constrained by the internet network, and in Jayapura Regency there are more than 30 polling stations and several polling stations in Waropen Regency."So almost thoroughly the TPS in Papua is still constrained by the network, except in Biak Numfor Regency and Jayapura City where the internet network is smooth," he said.
According to him, the internet network is an important thing to send the results of the recapitulation of the calculation and vote acquisition at the TPS level, so it really needs the network to calculate the results of the 2024 election vote recapitulation."We hope that related parties can immediately solve this internet network problem, so that on voting day everything can be well connected," he said.
