Jokowi: The Capacity Of Patients At The Pane Collection Hospital Needs To Be Added

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the capacity of patients at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) from the Pane Collection, Tebing Tinggi City, North Sumatra Province (North Sumatra), needs to be added through the revitalization process of buildings.

"I see that there are 202 beds here, so the capacity needs to be increased," said President Jokowi after visiting RSUD Dr. Collection Pane as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 7.

President Jokowi said the hospital, which is located at Jalan DR Collection Pane Number 226, Durian, Tebing Tinggi Kota District, Tebing Tinggi City, is located at a strategic location in the middle of the city and is easily accessible to the community. Moreover, Tebing Tinggi is an interland area that connects districts/cities to the capital city of North Sumatra.

President Jokowi chose the hospital as the purpose of the review because its position is close to the Tebing Tinggi-Indrapura Toll Road which he has just inaugurated.

The position, said the President, made patients come to hospitals from a number of areas in the area.

"Yes, here, indeed in the Pane Collection Hospital hospital from the district and around the city of Tebing Tinggi, many have arrived. I see that the number of patients is quite large," said President Jokowi.

President Jokowi made the decision to increase the capacity of patients after seeing the service, building conditions, patient registration, and the speed of BPJS Health services at the hospital.

To realize the plan, President Jokowi has asked the local regional head for land availability.

"Earlier I asked the Mayor, also to the Governor, is there any land that can be built for additional purposes, so that the capacity can be more large? Yes," said President Jokowi quoting his conversation with the local regional head.

Therefore, President Jokowi asked for a proposal to expand the RSUD to the local government (Pemda), along with six service rooms that are considered outdated so that development can begin immediately by the central government.

"Earlier, I told you that the proposal was made, later it will be built by the central government. But including the six buildings, it needs to be completely rehabilitated," said President Jokowi.
