Saat lolos ke final Piala Asia untuk pertama kalinya, Jordan juga mencapai rekor terbaiknya di ajang kontinental, memenangkan tiga pertandingan berturut-turut.
Make South Korea A Fragile Team
Jordan extended South Korea's suffering. His two goals against Jurgen Klinsmann's team made South Korea fail for the first time to record a single clean sheet in the Asian Cup.
In total, South Korea conceded all six of their matches during the 2023 Asian Cup. They conceded 10 goals throughout the tournament and scored 11 goals.
The number of concedings is fairly high. If you combine conceding in the previous three editions (2011, 2015, 2019), South Korea only conceded 11 goals.
The last time they conceded in every game came in the 1996 Asian Cup when South Korea only stepped into the quarter-finals.
Makes South Korea Troubled
Jordan left South Korea behind for the first time two goals in the Asian Cup match since it was last 0-2 behind in the 2000 semifinal against Saudi Arabia (1-2 down).
It is also the first time South Korea has lost a lot of goals since losing 0-6 against Iran in the quarter-finals of the 1996 Asian Cup.
Effective Team
Jordan has only 30.4 percent possession, the second lowest for any team to win an Asian Cup game with many goals.
The last time a similar situation occurred was in the 2019 edition. Qatar only collected 28.8 percent possession in a 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia.
Strong Defense
South Korea fired eight shots, but none were on target against Jordan.
The solidity of the Jordanian defense made South Korea hold the title of the first team with a shot on the worst target in one game since the 2007 Asian Cup.
Extraordinary Threat
Yazan Al-Naimat made six shots and recorded nine touches in the opponent's box. The two records are the highest for any Jordanian player in an Asian Cup since the 2011 edition.
Musa Al-Taamari's Contribution
Musa Al-Taamari contributed one assist and one goal when he defeated South Korea. He has recorded a total of seven goals (4 goals, 3 assists) in the Asian Cup.
Taamari overtook the contribution of Hamza Al Dardour (5) goals for Jordan.
The score is the most compared to any Jordanian player in the history of participation in the tournament.
