Through Entrepreneur Development 2024, Kemenkop UKM Will Boost MSMEs In These Three Sectors

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) regrets that micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are participating in more export activities from the food and beverage sector. Therefore, the Kemenkop UKM will boost three sectors, ranging from technology, agriculture to beauty and health.

Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Cooperatives, SMEs Siti Azizah, said that Indonesia has a lot of natural resources, such as in the agricultural and livestock sectors. Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs do not want to enter the sector.

For this reason, the Kemenkop UKM organizes the 2024 Entrepreneur Development. With this program, it is hoped that it will attract more established young entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector, the health sector, beauty & wellness and the technology sector.

"We have extraordinary resources, namely agriculture, fisheries, livestock and so on. Unfortunately, there are not many entrepreneurs there. So, during these three years, visits with the customer, why is the exponent always chips, crackers. So, try to find someone based on technological innovation," he said at the Open Call Entrepreneur Development (Endev) 2024 event in Jakarta, Tuesday, February 6.

Siti Azizah explained her reasons for boosting entrepreneurship in three other sectors, especially in the technology sector. This is because it reflects on other countries, where businesses with this technology base can last longer.

In addition, Indonesia also has quality human resources (HR). So, they can innovate into an application developer or researcher.

"Then we also want to enter the technology sector, why? Because this is one of the rich sectors. We have many talents whose generation Z and millennial smart children are definitely able to make technology-based entrepreneurs. Therefore, the sector that we are advancing is the leading sector. God willing, the food sector is quite large from the west to the east," said Siti Azizah.

"We hope to see this Entredev 2024, we can create innovative entrepreneurs based on technology and sustainable," he concluded.
