Closing The DPR's Session Ahead Of The 2024 General Election, Puan Maharani Reminds Elected Candidates Not To Forget Their Promises

JAKARTA - The DPR has again held a plenary closing meeting after three weeks of serving the third trial period in 2023-2024 since January 16. The DPR had to enter a recess period because less than one week Indonesia will hold a democratic party for the 2024 General Election on February 14. In his speech, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani advised all parties to maintain election order, while elected legislative candidates did not forget their promises. Puan also mentioned the excitement of the campaign. "Today is eight days towards voting for the 2024 General Election. Since the election campaign on November 28, 2023 until today, we have witnessed the excitement of the candidates in the 2024 election. Some are locked in trees, depending on the fences and even some have collapsed," said Puan in a plenary meeting, Tuesday, February 6.

"Various creativity to seek people's sympathy has also been carried out. Some cartoon images, animated images, photos of themselves are young, and various self-images today. Various forms of dangdutan socialization, landscape screen puppets, cheap markets and so on," continued Puan. Puan prays that all legislative candidates in the plenary meeting room can be re-elected in the period 2024-2029. The chairman of the PDIP DPP also advised that the elected DPR members not to forget their promises during the campaign.

"All members of the DPR RI are also involved in the excitement situation of the 2024 election campaign. All efforts to intervene and the hand has been made, it's just a hand line. Hopefully we will all be re-elected amen," said Puan.
