Steven Tyler: My Mouth Is Gradually Recovering

JAKARTA - Steven Tyler is recovering from a vocal injury that forced the "peace Out" farewell tour of Aerosmith to be postponed.

The 75-year-old vocalist discussed his health condition when he hosted the fifth annual Grammy "Jam For Badminton" event on Sunday, February 4 at Hollywood Palladium.

"My slit was better, now it's gradually recovering," Tyler told the audience.

Meanwhile, her daughter, Mia Tyler, told People her father was "much better", but added: "He doesn't sometimes get to talk, so I have to really scream at her and say, 'Father can't talk on the phone with me right now. Let's just send the text.'"

Mia also said that her father prefers to talk to her cellphone instead of typing.

"You can't silence him", he couldn't keep his mouth shut, "he joked, adding that he was "very healthy."

Aerosmith himself postponed all previously announced "peace Out" farewell tour dates after Tyler suffered voice band damage in September.

The news comes two weeks after Aerosmith postponed six concerts on the tour to give Tyler time to undergo the recovery process.
