Megawati: It's OK To Receive Social Assistance, But Don't 'Goyang'

JAKARTA - PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri has no problem with supporters of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Ganjar-Mahfud receiving social assistance (bansos) from the government. Provided, when voting or determining the choice, they cannot 'gorge'.

"Who likes to receive social assistance? The real one? Hey, don't lie. Yes, it's okay to accept it but don't shake it later. Who wants to shake? Come on, who wants to shake things up," Megawati said while giving her speech at the Ganjar-Mahfud Grand Campaign at Gelora Bung Karno, Saturday, Fabruari 3.

According to him, all Indonesian people have the right to receive social assistance. This is because the provision of aid comes from the people.

"Wong social assistance for people's money. Don't forget. Loh..loh..loh..loh..oh. where did this money come from? That's right. So if you think it's straight," he said.

In making choices, said Megawati, the people must think carefully. Because, later pairs of elected candidates will become leaders for the next five years.

"Well, remember this, Mom, you said it was 5 minutes, remembering to vote 5 minutes if you chose the wrong leader, I felt the result was 5 years," said Megawati.

Meanwhile, the issue of politicization in the distribution of social assistance is widely heard. Because, Jokowi gave it to the community in the midst of the momentum of the 2024 election campaign period.

As is known, since early January 2024 President Jokowi has made a working visit to a number of regions in Indonesia while distributing social assistance to the local community.

The latest is in the form of distributing social assistance in the form of the government's rice reserve food Program (CBP) to the community at the Tingkir Clumpit Football Field, Salatiga City, Central Java Province, Monday, January 22. Jokowi also directly distributed social assistance during his visit to Banten Province, Papua, to East Kalimantan.
