TPD Ganjar-Mahfud: We Want Experienced Leaders, Not Just Trying
JAKARTA - Head of the Regional Winning Team (TPD) Ganjar-Mahfud DKI Jakarta, Edi Marsudi wants an experienced leader like the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate number 3.
"The people of the country are smart by wanting an experienced leader, not a leader who has just tried new things," Prasetyo told reporters in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, February 3.
According to Prasetyo, people today want to find leaders who are not just trying but experienced in their fields.
He said that a number of figures he admired ranged from Bung Karno, Mohamad Hatta to Suharto.
Moreover, he highlighted that there was one candidate pair (paslon) who did not come from the lower position and had the opportunity to have a career in government.
"Our Indonesian nation should not be held by leaders who are trying it," he said.
On that occasion, Prasetyo collaborated with supporters of "Sohib Pras" to walk a long march from the Secretariat of the Ganjar-Mahfud Regional Winning Team (TPD) DKI Jakarta on Jalan Hang Lekir, South Jakarta, to Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), Central Jakarta.
They walked about 2.5 kilometers to participate in the PDI-P grand campaign at GBK.

"There are about 10,000 masses, from here (TPD Secretariat) there are 5,000, then from South Jakarta City there are 5,000 with the label 'Sohib Pras' who will declare and support the Ganjar-Mahfud candidate pair to win Jakarta," he said.
He admitted that he deliberately chose to walk because the traffic around GBK was very congested because many Ganjar-Mahfud supporters came from various regions and parked their vehicles at GBK and Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.
According to him, the enthusiasm of the sympathizers and the community is very high. The DKI TPD had run out of stock of party t-shirts to provide color in the PDI-P grand campaign at GBK, but the problem was finally resolved.
