Will Be Present This Year, The Range Rover EV Fan Counts More Than 16,000 Customers
JAKARTA - Land Rover, a luxury British car brand, has opened an order period for its electric vehicle, the latest Range Rover EV. Although not yet disclosed, the model got an extraordinary interest.
According to claims from the company, more than 16,000 customers have registered in the waiting room for the magnificent electric car. However, the waiting list only indicates interested customers, not formal reservation.
Adrian Mardell, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), said that his party is very passionate about the strong interest of customers in the Range Rover EV and hopes this model can satisfy customers.
"We are very happy that the demand for this model is so strong," said Mardell, quoted by Autocar, Saturday, February 3.
The Range Rover EV is the brand's first battery-powered electric car and will take the base from the internal combustion engine (ICE) model. Land Rover claims, this model will be the quietest vehicle in the series.
The SUV will carry an 800V-power architecture, which allows ultra-fast charging. The brand is committed to providing a smooth electric vehicle experience to its customers, including easy charging, energy partnerships, over-the-air software updates, and smart technology to maximize reach.
The Range Rover EV will retain elements of luxury and modern brands, as well as preserve the ability to pass through various terrains that have been its trademark for years.

The Range Rover EV will be produced at the Solihull plant, England, using a flexible Longitudinal Architecture Modular platform. The new 70 million-pound plant, equivalent to IDR 1.37 trillion, will be responsible for installing an underbody vehicle. Meanwhile, batteries and electric propulsion units will be assembled at the Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Center in Wolverhampton, England.
The Range Rover EV will launch globally in 2024 and is now opening an order waiting list starting today and following the opening of an official order for customers.
