Hyundai And Iveco Collaborate To Present Electric Light Commercial Vehicles In Europe
JAKARTA - In order to expand the electric vehicle ecosystem, Hyundai Motor Group has formed a partnership with the well-known truck vehicle company, Iveco Group. Both signed supply agreements for light commercial electric vehicles.
Later, the vehicle will use a badge from Iveco for the European market by carrying the global eLCV platform developed by Hyundai. Thus, this further strengthens the portfolio of this multinational company in presenting environmentally friendly commercial vehicles.
"This new electric vehicle recognition is very attractive to the European market, where urban and suburban distribution and delivery are important missions for logistics operators," said Luca Sra, President of the Truck Business Unit Iveco Group, on the brand's official website, Saturday, February 3.
In line with what Luca Sra said, Ken Ramirez, as Executive Vice President and Head of Global Commercial Vehicle & Hydrogen Business Hyundai Motor Company, said that the eLCV platform Iveco uses can be a powerful transformative in the light commercial vehicle market.
"We believe our global eLCV platform, coupled with the expertise of the Iveco Group in the European market, will be a transformative force in the LCV market, contributing to accelerating the carbon-neutral future in Europe," Ramirez said.

The model with the Iveco emblem will be the first export model to use the eLCV platform, a platform developed by a South Korean company designated for light commercial vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVM) ranging from 2.5 tons to 3.5 tons.
According to Hyundai's claim, the platform offers the latest technology for next-generation EVs with lower floor designs making it possible to increase cargo loading or transport.
Through this partnership, the company will manufacture and supply a IVECO' discourse chassis cabin for the European market and the Iveco Group will customize and distribute all vehicles locally and exclusively through its sales channels.
This model will be launched at the IAA Transportation 2024 event which will be held on September 16-22, including in Hannover, Germany.
