Erupsi Gunung Merapi, AP I: Operasi Bandara Adi Soemarmo Solo Tidak Terdampak
JATENG - Adi Soemarmo Airport Solo ensured that the recent eruption of Mount Merapi did not interfere with the operation of aircraft activities at the airport.
General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I Adi Soemarmo Airport said the airport continues to monitor Merapi's eruption activities and at any time conducts volcanic ash tests in the airport area.
"Merapi's eruption, which is still ongoing, has no impact on the operations of Adi Soemarmo Airport and flights are still running according to schedule," he said in Boyolali, Central Java, Thursday, February 1, which was confiscated by Antara.
However, for the reason of the safety of flight services at Adi Soemarmo Airport, his party periodically checks Merapi's eruption volcanic ash test using a paper test.
"Alhamdulillah, until now the results have been negative," he said.
He said that in general the paper test was an eye-on testing to determine whether or not volcanic ash existed through white paper media.
"The paper test at Adi Soemarmo Airport was carried out in the plane landing area. This is to ensure that there are no volcanic ash particles that can disrupt the movement of aircraft on the air side," he said.

"In principle, we always increase vigilance and are committed to ensuring the reliability of all facilities at Adi Soemarmo Airport. Thus the safety, comfort and safety of service users are always maintained," he said.
