KPK Calls Ribka Tjiptaning In Corruption Cases In Procurement Of The TKI Protection System

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PDI-P faction (PDIP) Ribka Tjiptaning today, Thursday, February 1. He was investigated regarding the alleged corruption in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) which ensnared the former Director General of Manpower Placement and Transmigration of the Ministry of Manpower, Reyna Usman. However, Ribka together with two other people are suspected of knowing about the corruption case related to the procurement of the system. Previously reported, the KPK named three suspects in the case of alleged corruption in the procurement of the TKI protection system for the 2012 fiscal year. They are Reyna Usman; Secretary of the Ministry of Manpower Planning and Development Agency as well as Commitment Making Officer (PPK) I Nyoman Darmanta; and Director of PT Adi Inti Mandiri (AIM) Karunia.

In this case, state financial losses amounted to Rp17.6 billion. A number of places have been searched to investigate and look for evidence. In addition, the KPK has examined the General Chairperson of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin on Thursday, September 7. The former Minister of Manpower and Transmigration was examined for investigation regarding the approval of the use of the budget for the procurement of the TKI protection system.
