Xiaomi Starts Mass Production Of The February SU7 Sedan, Estimated To Reach 10,000 Units In July

JAKARTA - After officially launching, the SU7 electric sedan from Xiaomi will enter the mass production stage starting this February.

Citing the CNevpost page, Thursday, January 1, from the local median 36kr report, Xiaomi plans to produce around 2,000 SU7 units by March, and complete capacity building by mid-2024, with a production target of more than 10,000 units by July.

To reach that stage, according to reports, it is necessary to complete all stages of the R&D department, and test validation before the SOP to ensure functional reliability and vehicle security.

At the same time, car manufacturers need to overcome supply chain problems so that spare parts that meet the standard can arrive on the production floor within the specified period. By fulfilling the above, electric cars with futuristic designs and advanced technology can be marketed and sent to customers.

Once the SOP is implemented, the responsibility for the vehicle will officially switch from the R&D department to the production department, and quality and capacity will be a new challenge Xiaomi will face in manufacturing.

As is known, Xiaomi officially announced on March 30, 2021 that it is joining the auto industry, also stating it will invest more than 10 billion yuan in the industry.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi's electric car debut took place at a technology launch event on December 28, stressing the desire to be one of the top five car manufacturers in the world in the next 15-20 years.
