Heirs Of Two Crew Members Died As A Result Of Work Accidents Receiving Hundreds Of Millions Compensation From BPJS Ketenagakerjaan
JAKARTA - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (BPJamsostek) Jakarta Cilincing handed over compensation to the heirs of two crew workers or crew members of PT Pertamina Marine Solutions who died in a work accident.
They are the late Taufiq Akif Aunur Iman and Mustofa, who were victims of the ship capsized and caused a fire in Kotabaru Waters, South Kalimantan, in September 2023. Unfortunately, both of them were not rescued and found dead.
Symbolically, Head of the Cilincing BPJamsostek Branch Office, Haryani Rotua Melasari, handed over compensation to each heir of the Job Accident Insurance (JKK), Old Age Security (JHT) and Pension Security (JP), on Monday, January 22.
Data received, compensation to Taufiq Akif Aunur Iman's heirs amounting to Rp269 million and to Mustofa's heirs amounting to Rp203 million.
Haryani Rotua Melasari on that occasion expressed her deep sorrow for the tragedy and departure of the two PT Pertamina Marine Solutions workers.

On that occasion, Ani, Haryani's nickname, also appreciated PT Pertamina Marine Solutions for registering her workforce in the Employment Social Security protection program, so that the family obtained their rights for the disaster that befell the two workers.
"Our hope is that this disaster can be an example and open the eyes of every employer or company that the protection of Employment Social Security is very important, because it is not only beneficial for workers but also for their families," concluded Ani.
