The Attempted Murder of a Turkish Foreigner in Bali was Carried Out by a Mexican Gang
BADUNG - Badung Police Chief, Bali Assistant Commissioner of Police (AKBP) Teguh Priyo Warsono revealed that the Mexican gang which carried out the shooting of a Turkish foreign national (WNA) named Turan Mehmet was an attempted premeditated murder.

"Based on the crime scene and CCTV at the location, the perpetrator had carefully prepared the action," said Teguh Priyo, Tuesday, January 30.
Head of Public Relations of the Bali Regional Police, Police Commissioner Jensen Aviatus Penjaitan, said that there were four shooters and only three people had been arrested. Meanwhile, one perpetrator is still at large.
The three alleged Mexican perpetrators who have been arrested by the Badung Police are Aramburo Contreras Jose Alfonso (32 years), Mayorquin Eacobedo Juan Antonio (24), and Deraz Gonzalez Victor Eduardo (36).
The motive for this shooting is thought to be because the perpetrator wanted to commit a theft at the villa where four Turkish and Georgian foreigners lived, including the victim.
The perpetrator also took money from the villa amounting to IDR 30 million and USD 4,000.
Meanwhile, the Head of Bali Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement, Gilang Angga, said that his party had closed access out of Bali to arrest the perpetrator who was still at large.
The perpetrator entered Bali on December 12 2023 using a visa on arrival for tourist purposes.

It is known that the shooting which injured a Turkish foreigner occurred at Villa Palm House, Jalan Raya Tumbak Bayuh Number 64, Tumbak Bayuh Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali.
For their actions, the perpetrators were charged with multiple articles, namely Article 340 in conjunction with Article 53 of the Criminal Code concerning attempted premeditated murder.
