Papuan Police Chief Reviewing Election Logistics Warehouses In Sentani And Jayapura
JAYAPURA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri, inspected and saw the activities of volunteers who were conducting election logistics packaging in logistics warehouses in two locations.
The review began to see the logistics warehouse belonging to the Jayapura Regency KPU located at Puspenka Sentani and received by the Secretary of the Jayapura Regency KPU John F Saman.
After seeing the KPU staff and volunteers who were rolling out the form which would later be put into the ballot box reminded them to maintain their health.
"Don't forget to maintain health and ask that you continue to monitor weather developments considering that the distribution of logistics in the Jayapura Regency area is by sea," said Inspector General Fakhiri as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.
The Papuan Police Chief also reminded members of the National Police tasked with securing election logistics warehouses so as not to catch fire.
Watch closely around the warehouse area and carry out patrols and do not allow those who have no interest to enter the warehouse.
"Don't be careless while on duty," asked the Papuan Police Chief to members of the National Police who were involved in securing the logistics warehouse belonging to the Jayapura Regency KPU.
The commissioner of the Jayapura Regency KPU, Lodik Y. MF. reported that the new logistics will begin to be shifted to D-5 before the vote and it will begin with an area that is difficult to reach.
There are several areas that are difficult to reach due to the weather that are currently unfriendly, causing high waves such as the Badminton District.
"As for locations that can be reached using vehicles, logistics distribution will be carried out D-2 or two days before the voting on 14 February 2024," said Commissioner for the Socialization, Education, Community Participation and Human Resources Division of the Jayapura Regency KPU, Lodik Y. MF.
After reviewing the logistics warehouse of the Jayapura Regency KPU, the Papua Police Chief, who was accompanied by a number of officials, continued his visit to the Jayapura City KPU logistics warehouse located in the PTC Entropy area.

The head of the Jayapura City KPU, Oktovianus Injama, explained the readiness to distribute logistics to five districts, all of which can be reached using four-wheeled vehicles.
"Currently, KPU staff assisted by volunteers are preparing a form to be sent along with other logistics including letters and ballot boxes," said Jayapura City KPU Chairman Oktovianus Injama.
The number of voters in Jayapura City was recorded at 258,082 people who would vote at 940 polling stations, spread over five districts in the Jayapura City area, namely North Jayapura, South Jayapura, Abepura, Heram and Muara Tami Districts.
