Bawaslu Tasikmalaya Has Submitted Evidence Of Witnesses Alleged Violations Of Ridwan Kamil's Campaign

TASIKMALAYA - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Tasikmalaya Regency has been completed and has stopped the process of handling cases of alleged violations of the 2024 election campaign by former West Java (Jabar) Governor Ridwan Kamil (RK) in Cipatujah District. Furthermore, the case will be handled by West Java Bawaslu."The West Java Bawaslu has taken over its handling," said Head of Bawaslu Tasikmalaya Regency, Dodi Juanda when contacted in Tasikmalaya, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, January 30.Bawaslu Tasikmalaya has been conducting an in-depth investigation by asking for statements from a number of witnesses regarding the alleged violation of the RK campaign for presidential and vice presidential candidates number 2 at the Jambore event of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Cipatujah District, January 13, 2024. The testimony of witnesses and evidence has been submitted to the West Java Bawaslu for further investigation. The findings in the field, said Dodi, were that the Tasikmalaya Regency Bawaslu immediately moved quickly to confirm with the organizing committee, including the BPD regarding the existence of RK in the event and campaigning. The handling of the case was finally stopped and completed because there were reports with similar accusations and the reported party was the same so that the handling was no longer in Bawaslu Tasikmalaya, but West Java Bawaslu."Because there is a report at West Java Bawaslu regarding the same case. So it was registered by the West Java Bawaslu," he said.West Java Bawaslu and the West Java Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu), he said, a week ago also came to Tasikmalaya Regency to follow up on cases of alleged violations by the former West Java Governor at the event.
"Last week from West Java Bawaslu and Gakkumdu went down to Tasikmalaya Regency," he added.Previously, videos showing RK at the Jambore BPD event in Cipatujah District, January 13, 2024 were spread among the public, as well as social media. There were a number of parties reporting the incident to Bawaslu Tasikmalaya and also Bawaslu West Java Province.
