Enjoying The Unforgettable Anniversary Of The Wood Dragon Year Celebration

JAKARTA - The Year of the Dragon gives meaning to some people as a good start to achieve significant progress, both in personal life and at the social and economic levels.

In order to welcome the year of Naga Kayu which is considered a dynamic and energy-filled period, a special event will be held in the Pantjoran Pantai Indah Kapuk area from January 26 to February 25, 2024.

Carrying the theme Cheers to Fresher Celebrations', Heinekenmenmen presents various interesting spots for visitors as part of the 2024 Chinese New Year celebrations. "Heinekenmen enthusiastically celebrate the Chinese New Year in a unique way. Through Heineken Good Times Town, we aim to create memorable moments for everyone. The iconic landmark Heineken titch Dragon, made from the former Heineken can recycled from DWPXV, adds to the festive enthusiasm in welcoming the Kayu Dragon Year," said Jessica Setiawan, Marketing Director of Multi Star Indonesia in her statement.

The 15-meter-long shell of the Heineken Dragon Landmark was made by utilizing more than 8,800 unused Heinekenmen and pallet wood collected at the DWPVX event at GWK Bali in December 2023. The collection of the world number one premium alcoholic drink cans also had a positive impact on the welfare of local Balinese artists. Heineken through Rice for Bali donated 190 sacks of rice distributed to 190 artist wives spread across North Bali.

This dragon icon is the result of the collaboration between Heineken totaling 12 people with Dimas Judhi Saputra, an artist from Jakarta, and his team of craftsmen.

"Collaboration with HeinekenGod in building this dragon installation is a matter of pride for me and the team. For about a month, together we designed, built and realized the dragon shape that is expected to be a center of attention for the Chinese New Year celebration in the Pantjoran PIK area," said Dimas Judhi Saputra, Artist.

Heineken Good Times Town is presented with an oriental feel, in line with the typical atmosphere found in the Pantjoran PIK area. Here visitors can enjoy various excitements such as angpao trees with various Heineken merchandises, forest reading, magic mirror photos, and lively performances from the LED Barongsai and UV Liong Barongsai.
