TPA Tanjungrejo Kudus Can Still Operate For The Next 5 Years
KUDUS - Kudus Regency Government in Central Java Province said that according to a study by the Tanjungrejo Waste Disposal Site (TPA) in the Jekulo District, it could still be used for the next five years."For the time being, there is no plan to expand the Tanjungrejo Waste TPA land, because the results of our study are still able to serve the waste disposal for the next three to five years," said Head of the Housing, Settlement Area, and Environment Office of Kudus Abdul Halil Regency in Kudus, Antara, Friday, January 26.Nevertheless, he said, residents were still moved to sort, process, and recycle household waste in order to reduce the volume of waste entering the final shelter.In order to reduce waste entering the TPA, the Kudus Regency Government is also trying to optimize the function of waste recycling facilities in Loram Wetan Village, Jati District, and compost houses with a waste processing capacity of 10 tons per day.In this case, the local government received assistance from private waste processing facilities that were able to handle 20 to 50 tons of organic waste per day.
In addition, the Kudus Regency Government encourages the establishment of an independent village for waste management in an effort to improve waste management in its area.
