Truck Group Of Accident Pilgrims In Leuwiudah Village, West Bandung: 5 Dead, 20 Minor Injuries
Five people died and a number were injured in a traffic accident by a group of pilgrims using a truck on Jalan Kampung Leuwiudah, West Bandung Regency, West Java, Friday, January 26."The single accident occurred at 00.30 WIB, the truck numbered D-8304-WE driven by the initials RI (61)," said Cimahi Police Traffic Unit Head AKP Sudirianto in West Bandung, quoted from Antara, Friday afternoon.Sudirianto explained that the driver at the time of the accident was carrying 28 people after making a pilgrimage from Cianjur Regency. The five victims who died were all passengers, namely Uhin (28), Sifa (23), Lia (17), Ayim (50), and Alif (17), all residents of West Bandung Regency.In accordance with the results of the temporary crime scene, the accident began when a truck containing a group of pilgrims drove from Cianjur to return to West Bandung.The truck allegedly lost control so that all passengers rolled over and were thrown lying on the highway."The vehicle lost control, resulting in the victim. Five victims died, then three people were seriously injured and 20 minor injuries," he said.Currently, all truck passengers who are seriously injured are receiving medical treatment at the hospital."The victims have been taken to their respective homes, some at Hasan Sadikin, Kawaluyaan, and Asida Hospitals,” he said.Kasatlantas appealed to owners of open transport not to use their vehicles as a means of transporting passengers.
According to him, this habit is very dangerous for passengers, especially in large numbers so that this incident does not happen again.
