Become AI Video Victim, Melaney Ricardo Fears Uploading Photos And Videos On Social Media

JAKARTA - Unpleasant news came from presenter Melaney Ricardo, who recently became a victim of AI technology. Where one of the videos from his YouTube account is used for body-reducing fraudulent advertisements.

Seeing this, Melaney immediately clarified through a video upload on his TikTok. He emphatically said he had never cooperated with the brand or even provided a testimonial.

"I'm not looking into it but I've said 'please take down my video because I don't know you, I've never been asked to test it and use your product'," said Melaney Ricardo in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 25.

This incident has quite an effect on Melaney's life. Now he admits that he has the fear of uploading photos or videos to social media for fear of being misused.

"Yes (scared). Now it's really scary whatever we take photos, we can have a very dangerous video, especially with AI technology from what we didn't have before," said Melaney.

But unfortunately, this 42-year-old woman cannot stop her activities in uploading content because she is a content creator, she is required to be active in uploading photos and videos.

"You can't do it, Ms., because I'm a content creator, right. Later, if you reduce it, you can't eat, so if you make a podcast, you can do it from any video, including this interview video," he concluded.
