Follow Up On Residents' Complaints, Thugs On The Cipanas-Papandayan Tourism Route Are Brought Under Control By The Police

The police have brought order to thuggery on a number of tourist routes and crowded places in Garut Regency, West Java. The control follows complaints from road users, especially tourists who come to Garut.

The head of the Cisurupan Police (Kapolsek), Iptu Asep Saepudin, said that the control of thuggery targets illegal parking and levies in Tarogong Kaler District which has the Cipanas Garut tourist route, and Cisurupan in the Gunung Papandayan tourist route.

"They make it restless, also road users who go to Papandayan," he said in Garut, Thursday, January 25, was confiscated by Antara.

Asep explained that thuggery operations this time took firm action against thugs who carried out illegal parking activities in a number of places such as minimarkets and other places that should not be collected for vehicle parking money.

Furthermore, he said, acts of thuggery that collect money at major road intersections by road to the Mount Papandayan tourist attraction, which so far their activities have disturbed the comfort of road users.

"Depart vehicles that want to and get out of the Papandayan route on a priority basis by providing cash in return, which is disrupted by main lane road users," he said.

In the operation in the Papandayan tourist route area, six people were secured to the Cisurupan Police Headquarters along with evidence in the form of cash from extortion, and illegal parking.

Furthermore, they are carried out data collection on identity, and coaching so that their activities do not interfere with comfort, security, and public order.

"Furthermore, it is recorded, continue to be given guidance and make statements not to repeat these actions," he said.

Elsewhere, the Tarogong Kaler sub-district also managed to secure six thugs who were allegedly disturbing the comfort and public order in a number of places such as road intersections.

Head of the Tarogong Kaler Police, Iptu Sona Rahadian, said that thuggery operations this time include controlling illegal parking, extortion and other acts of thuggery that disturb the public.

The thug eradication operation, he said, had previously been carried out several times, and would continue to provide a sense of security and comfort for the people in Garut.

"We do it continuously, apart from responding to public complaints, this is also one of our routine activities to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community," said Sona.
