Southeast Sulawesi Police Arrest 2 Cross-Provincial Fuel Smugglers
KENDARI - Sub-Directorate Indagsi of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Southeast Sulawesi Police arrested two perpetrators of smuggling pertalite cross-provincial fuel (BBM).Head of Sub-Directorate I Indagsi Ditreskrimsus Polda Sultra Kompol Rico Fernanda said the two smugglers had the initials SH (32) and SD (49), residents of South Konawe Regency (Konsel), Southeast Sulawesi."Both of them were arrested for allegedly smuggling pertalite fuel into Central Sulawesi, on Saturday night," said Rico Fernanda when met in Kendari, Thursday, January 25.The arrests of the two perpetrators were based on information received by officers until they finally found a Toyota Calya minibus with police number DT 1051 XX, which was suspicious."Furthermore, the officers stopped the car and found 30 jerry cans measuring 35 liters containing Pertalite type fuel," he said.The investigator admitted that the Pertalite type of fuel would be brought and sold to Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province."So on this basis, it is suspected that there was abuse of transportation and/or trading of Pertalite type fuel," he said.He said that currently the two perpetrators and evidence in the form of a minibus with police number DT 1051 XX and 30 jerry cans measuring 35 liters containing pertalite fuel.
