MoU With KAI And KCIC, Members Of The DPR Will Get Special Services At The Train Station
JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) signed a memorandum of understanding of protocol services with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI with PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC). Through this collaboration, members of the DPR will receive special services at the train station.
The signing of this memorandum of understanding was carried out by the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar with the President Director of KAI Didiek Hartantyo and the President Director of KCIC Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, January 25.
Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar said the special protocol and protocol services for members of the DPR RI refer to the Law (UU) on the MPR, DPR, DPRD, and DPD (UU MD3) as well as applicable DPR regulations and regulations.
"This is very helpful for the activities and mobility of the council in electoral districts and other activities. Hopefully this can provide maximum protocol services so that the council can get comfort and protocol rights as state officials," said Indra at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, January 25.
Meanwhile, KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo said that protocol cooperation with the DPR was not the first time, because it had previously been carried out in 2020 and 2021.
Didiek said the special places that were carried out in the MoU ranged from services at stations, receptions, arrival services, provision of VIP waiting rooms to parking lots.
"We are ready to serve the second MoU extension which was carried out in 2021. We hope that the leaders and members of the DPR in traveling in Java and Sumatra can use more trains, because trains are environmentally friendly," said Didiek.

Didiek said that his party already had a special welcoming procedure for representatives of the people who came and those who departed by train. However, Didiek said that the leadership and members of the DPR had previously had to provide information to KAI.
"Later on, we welcome you. We have trained our ranks, Gambir, Senen, and the regions so that we have arranged so that welcoming, providing parking, then VIP rooms including delivery to the train until later to the destination, until it is released again, we will arrange the protocol properly," he explained.
Unlike KAI, KCIC President Director Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi admitted that this collaboration was the first considering that the Capat Rights Train had only been operating for three months. He also said that the position of KCIC in this collaboration is a public service provider to support the activities and mobility of DPR members.
"What is certain is that at this timeAHsh is an alternative mode of transportation used by members of the DPR, including Mrs. Puan (Chairman of the DPR). So everyone uses a fast train and thank God we can serve well, including the protocol," said Dwi.
