The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has not arrested social media activist, Palti Hutabarat, a suspect in the alleged case of spreading false news about the Forkopimda of Batubara Regency, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
"The PH suspect has not been detained," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, to reporters, Wednesday, January 24.
But it was not explained further about the reasons behind the absence of Palti Hutabarat.
Only conveyed in the handling of the alleged case of spreading false news, investigators will prioritize the scientific investigation process.
"The investigator's steps in the investigation process are certainly carried out comprehensively both technically and scientifically," said Trunoyudo.

Palti Hutabarat was arrested by the Directorate of Cyber Crime at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit on Swadaya Street, Tanjung Barat Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta, January 19.
The arrest of Palti Hutabarat was said to be based on two police reports (LP) received by the North Sumatra Police and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.
In this case, Palti Hutabarat is suspected of under Article 48 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph 1 and or Article 48 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph 2 and or Article 51 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 35 and or Article 45 paragraph 4 in conjunction with Article 27 a of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE.
He was also charged with Article 14 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 and or Article 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946.
