Kaspersky Free Description Tool For Ransomware Victims Reaches 360,000 Downloads
JAKARTA - At the end of 2023, Kaspersky marked its seventh anniversary as the main contributor to No More Ransom's initiative. Kaspersky is expanding access to its free decryption tool, in line with the company's commitment to fighting ransomware.
Targeting 39 types of ransomware, this tool has helped nearly 2 million victims globally. In addition, Kaspersky has also further strengthened its commitment by establishing its own 'No More Ransom' website, in collaboration with the Dutch National Police.
This website is a hub that provides a comprehensive range of resources and tools to combat ransomware infections, for free.
Throughout its history, Kaspersky has a proven track record in building free aid initiatives against cyberattacks. From 2018 to December 2023, Kaspersky's decryption tool has been downloaded more than 360,000 times.

Along with the continued development of cyber threats, collaboration between the public and private sectors is becoming increasingly important. Kaspersky also encourages individuals and organizations to rely on decryption tools and available resources through collaborative efforts to allow them to regain data without having to meet extortion.
