President Jokowi Doesn't Intervention Pujakesuma's Political Attitude In The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo emphasized that he did not provide direction or intervention towards the political stance of the Sumatra Javanese Birth Association (Pukakesuma) in the 2024 presidential election. This was conveyed by the General Chairperson of Pujakesuma, Eko Sopiyanto, to reporters on the sidelines of the opening of the Pujakesuma National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) in Ancol, Jakarta, Saturday.

"Mr. Jokowi has no direction. There is no direction, there is no appeal. Earlier, while walking (between the President) the story was not politics, meaning that the President did not direct it. There was no intervention from anyone," said Eko.

Eko explained that in the previous year, Pujakesuma supported President Joko Widodo in the presidential election. However, at this time, this association will determine its political stance through the National Coordination Meeting which will be held on January 20-21, 2024 in Ancol.

According to Eko, the President only conveyed a message that the public, including Pujakesuma, always maintain harmony in the life of the nation and state. "The message is told to be friendly, harmonious, where the earth is stepped on, where the sky is upheld," he said.

In his remarks when he was present at the Pujakesuma National Coordination Meeting, President Jokowi asked that the celebration of the democratic party be held with a full sense of responsibility, so that it would be peaceful, successful, and smooth. He also reminded that the integrity and integrity of the nation should be maintained, despite differences of opinion and choices in the presidential election.
