Integrating PMB PTKIN With Indonesian Scholarships Rises, Ministry Of Religion Maximizes Student Quality

JAKARTA - In 2024, the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) RI integrated the process of accepting new students of State Islamic Universities (PMB PTKIN) with Indonesian scholarships rising (BIB) from the Ministry of Finance's Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP). "We will integrate this PTKIN PMB process with BIB from the Ministry of Finance LPDP, God willing, the selection process from PTKIN entrance exams (UM) will be the initial test of the next BIB process," said Chairman of the 2024 PTKIN PMB Committee as well as Chancellor of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Nyyu Khodijah quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, January 20. Nyau said, those (students) who have the best achievements will be supported by scholarships so that the hope that the learning process at PTKIN can be maximized, in accordance with the direction of the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas or who is familiarly called Gus Men. "The results of the UMPTKIN depend on the quota, because usually those chosen are only from superior programs and A, then Gus Men's input will be chosen for the best. Gus Men's input will be the material of our plan, how PMB PTKIN should be maximal, especially our input must be good, so that our output can be of high quality," he said. He stated, one of the efforts made by the Ministry of Religion was to invite regional office heads (kakanwil) and asked them to play an active role in maximizing the best output of madrasas, especially the best madrasasah to enter PTKIN.

"Untuk yang berprestasi kita siapkan tiket emas. Bagaimana agar mereka memilih kita (PTKIN) sebagai pilihan pertama, dan tentu dengan fasilitas-fasilitas seperti bisa masuk tanpa tes, dengan uang kuliah tunggal (UKT) terendah, bahkan kita utamakan mendapatkan beasiswa yang sangat banyak jenisnya, tidak hanya BIB," tuturnya.Ia menjelaskan, selama ini telah dilakukan berbagai jenis seleksi untuk meningkatkan minat siswa terhadap PTKIN, diantaranya Seleksi Prestasi Akademik Nasional (SPAN) PTKIN, UMB PTKIN, tes mandiri, juga jalur prestasi berupa pemberian tiket emas seperti yang telah disebutkan, untuk memberi kesempatan kepada siswa berprestasi baik di bidang akademik maupun non-akademik."Di SPAN kita termasuk komponen penilaian, jadi bukan hanya prestasi rapor, tetapi juga yang lain, semua bentuk nilai atau prestasi yang dimiliki siswa. Di SPAN kini juga sudah bisa mencantumkan portofolio," paparnya.

This year, the PTKIN UMB is opened through the SPAN route with a quota of 65,000 students, and 85,000 for the PTKIN SNM line.
