Jokowi Gives High Appreciation To NU Muslimat Always Take Care Of The Unitary State Of The Republic Of Indonesia
JAKARTA - In his remarks at the 78th Anniversary of NU Muslimat at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Saturday morning, President Joko Widodo thanked the Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) who always guarded the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and treated Pancasila.
"On behalf of the people, nation and state, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the NU Muslimat who always maintain the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, care for Pancasila, always care for unity and harmony for Advanced Indonesia," said the President, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, January 20.
The President said the role of NU Muslims was extraordinary.
According to him, Indonesia's success in going through the COVID-19 pandemic is also a contribution of NU Muslims.
"The NU climate is extraordinary. We remember that COVID-19 has hit the whole world for almost two years, but we are able to overcome health and economic problems. This is because of the role of all components of the nation, including mothers and fathers," said Jokowi.
He said not all countries were able to overcome the impact of COVID-19.
For example, 96 other countries, said the President, are noted to be only able to overcome health problems, but not with economic problems.
"Health can be resolved, but the economy has not. His economy has slumped and has even become an IMF patient," said the President.

He further conveyed that the government in the midst of limitations also continues to strive to be present to the community. For example, with the distribution of social assistance worth IDR 443 trillion throughout 2023.
"This is very big. These are for BPJS health cards, then smart cards and KIP Lectures, then PKH, basic food cards," he explained.
Jokowi emphasized that all assistance provided by the government is aimed at maintaining people's purchasing power.
"We must continue to maintain this momentum and improve it to achieve the goals of Indonesia Gold 2045," Jokowi ordered.
