Dirlantas Polda Riau Bahas Kondisi Jalan Di Pekanbaru, Apa Ada?

PEKANBARU - Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of the Riau Police held a dialogue with the Department of Transportation, the PUPR Service and the Head of the Pekanbaru City Police, to discuss damaged roads, road collateral, lack of traffic signs and road narrowing which resulted in congestion on the Pekanbaru City protocol road, Riau.

In the 2024 Road Traffic and Transportation Forum (LLAJ) meeting, Dirlantas Polda Riau Kombes Pol Taufiq Lukman Nurhidayat was accompanied by Deputy Director of Traffic of the Riau Police, PJU and then Kasat in the Hall of the Mako Ditlantas Meeting of the Riau Police, Thursday 18 January.

Dirlantas Polda Riau Kombes Taufiq Lukman Nurhidayat appreciated the 2024 LLAJ Forum meeting because all of them could attend.

"In addition to increasing friendship, we can also find joint solutions to deal with problems that are currently happening, especially in the field of traffic," Taufiq told reporters Friday, January 19.

Taufiq continued, in the 2024 LLAJ Forum meeting, there were several things that found the current condition of National Roads, Provinces and Pekanbaru City Protocol roads that were damaged, damaged bridges, PILL Streets, Pekanbaru City Protocol U-turn distances.

In addition, road conditions that do not have street lighting and easy roads are flooded with water as well as several National roads that have been flooded, causing long traffic jams so that some vehicles cannot pass.

"We hope that related agencies can immediately follow up and find solutions related to these findings in order to create an orderly, safe and smooth Riau Province, especially in the field of traffic for the community," said Taufiq Lukman.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Pekanbaru City Transportation Service, Yuliariso, added that his party will continue to find the best solution together, one of which is the condition of road congestion on Jalan Soebrantas Panam, Traffic Light Simpang Garuda Sakti and Jalan Soekarno Hatta, precisely in front of SKA Mall Living World Pekanbaru.

"We hope that we will be able to find solutions together to deal with existing problems, for those who are damaged, we will follow up," said Yuliarso.

On the other hand, the road on Jalan Soebrantas Panam, which is currently packed with street vendors, also affects the non-current traffic activity on Jalan Soebrantas Panam.

"The street vendors who held their stalls also resulted in narrowing the road and triggering the congestion of passing vehicles, as well as the large number of gepeks that also took part in making arrangements that utilized the U-turn, causing queues of vehicles and causing traffic jams," he explained.

Pekanbaru City Police Head Zoelkifli said the Pekanbaru City Sat Pol PP continued to disseminate and appeal to traders, not only on Jalan Soebarantas, but on several other roads in Pekanbaru city.

This is so that traders do not use the road to sell because it will cause road narrowing which can cause traffic jams at the location of the road used by traders.

"We from the Pekanbaru City Sat Pol PP continue to coordinate and patrol at that location, and we have even carried out various educational appeals to existing traders, so that they no longer hold their merchandise on the median road which will cause road congestion, we have also secured them ourselves several times and provided education so as not to repeat their actions," he said.

"As for the solutions that we take to anticipate all of them, place Pol PP officers at that location, there are even traffic police and the Pekanbaru city Transportation Agency on duty, so that there are no more traders holding their wares we will continue to try to place officers at the location," said Zoelkifli.

"The narrowing that occurred on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, precisely at SKA Mall Living world, we will widen the road, although we know, the current volume of vehicles continues to increase, but we will still immediately widen the road to solve the problems of existing congestion, of course this will be our priority so that it can be followed up immediately," said Martial from the PUPR Office of Riau Province.
