Ginting Has Two Homeworks Ahead Of Indonesia Masters 2024

JAKARTA Anthony Sinisuka Ginting revealed that he has two homeworks to do to improve against the 2024 Indonesia Masters tomorrow.

This was conveyed by Ginting after losing the rubber game against Hong Kong representative Lee Cheuk Yiu, in the quarter-finals of the India Open 2024 on Friday, January 19, 2024, WIB night.

"Hopefully at the Indonesia Masters 2024 next week it can be better than the pattern of the game and the feeling of the match also because this is important. From these two tournaments, their performance can continue to improve," he said.

In the match against Lee, Ginting lost in the first game before rising in the second game. However, in the game the two of them played tight before the interval, but after that Lee appeared dominant.

Ginting said he and Lee had the same typical game, namely attacking each other. Unfortunately, in the third game he made a lot of mistakes.

"The key is in the third game, especially after the interval. He becomes more patient and changes the pattern of the game. Meanwhile, I can't find the rhythm anymore and make a lot of mistakes myself," said Ginting.

Results at the 2024 India Open add to Ginting's poor record in two tournaments earlier this year. Previously, at the 2024 Malaysia Open last week, Ginting had even run aground in the second half.

Ginting is one of two Indonesian men's singles who are believed to get tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics. One other representative is Jonatan Christie.

Jonatan Christie himself had previously fallen in the second round of the India Open 2024 on Thursday, January 18, 2024. The 2018 Asian Games gold medalist lost to Malaysia's representative, Lee Zii Jia.
