Teken Surat Edaran, Erick Thohir Asks All SOEs To Provide Daycare
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir admitted that he had just signed a circular for all SOEs.
Through the letter, Erick asked state-owned companies to pay attention to the mental health of employees at state-owned companies.
In particular, continued Erick, women who already have children.
Women in state-owned companies have dual roles as mothers and workers. Therefore, it is appropriate to get the best service.
"I have signed a Ministerial Circular on Empleye Well-Being for state-owned companies," Erick Thohir said in an upload on his personal social media @erick.thohir, Friday, January 19.
"Mental Health is one of our concerns, because this is an important thing but is still often underestimated," he continued.
In fact, Erick also encourages state-owned companies to provide child care facilities or daycare. This step is part of an effort to improve employee welfare.
"We encourage state-owned companies to provide supporting facilities for working mothers, such as lactation spaces and daycare," wrote Erick.
It is known that some time ago Erick had presented daycare facilities at the BUMN Ministry office.
For your information, previously Erick also inaugurated a daycare at the Ministry of SOEs which was equipped with complete facilities.

Erick admitted that he continues to monitor the development of the daycare facility of the Ministry of SOEs.
Including by coordinating with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA).
"With this policy, I encourage the creation of a work environment that supports the balance between work and personal life," said Erick.
