Tank 330, Offroad SUV Results From Community Fundraising Immediate Launch

JAKARTA - Great Wall Motor (GWM), China's largest automotive company, will launch Tank 330 in the near future, one of the tough body SUVs with off-road capabilities.

Prior to its launch, documents from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) regarding this SUV had been leaked to the public.

Reporting from Carnewschina, Thursday, January 18, from the leaked documents the price of Tank 330 is targeted above 350.000 yuan or equivalent to IDR 768 million.

What's interesting is that Tank 330 was originally developed as a crowdfunding project for the 300 3.0T Tank model to see the number of enthusiasts as well as being able to take the vehicle to the production stage.

The crowdfunding project starts at 8 pm Beijing time on March 30, 2023 with a target fundraising of 20 million yuan equivalent to IDR 43 billion today. Unexpectedly, so many funders were even completed in just 6 seconds through 1,000 orders, and each person was limited to one order with one unit funding 20,000 yuan or equivalent to IDR 43.9 million.

In terms of appearance, Tank 330 takes a base from Tank 300 Frontier Limited Edition, equipped with a rectangular goal, round front lights, metal front and rear shield, and a wide wheel arch.

Iron pedal is added to the left and right sideskirts of Tank 330 to make it easier for passengers to get up and get off the car. At the same time, cooling ventilation is added to the hood to help maintain the stable temperature of the engine.

This car has a fairly large dimension with a length of 4,772 mm, a width of 1,970 mm, and a height of 1960 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. The SUV carries an 18-inch rim with a 265/70R18 tire.

To support its performance running in various conditions, GWM gave this car a 3.0T turbocharged V6 engine with code E30Z, resulting in 265 kW of power and a 500 Nm peak torque connected to driving all wheels.
