Suzuki GSX-S1000GX Coming Soon In Japan, Prices Are Like This

JAKARTA - After being first introduced at the 2023 EICMA event, the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX will soon launch in Japan on January 25, giving happiness to the fans who have been waiting for this model for a long time.

Launching Young Machine, Friday, January 19, GSX-S1000GX is the latest model of the GSX-S1000 series, combining sports tourism elements and adventure. The development is carried out based on sports tourer GSX-S1000GT.

In terms of design, the top cover of this motorbike gets a new touch with a combination of two position lights on both sides. The front light of the LED monofocus hexagonal with two vertical lenses provides a fresher look.

The peculiarity of this motor lies in the use of its suspension. Suzuki Advanced Electronic Suspension (SAES), an electronically controlled suspension, is applied to GSX-S1000GX. This electronic suspension, which was first used on a mass-produced Suzuki motorcycle, is based on EERA's SHOWA (Hitachi Astemo), controlled by information from 6-axis IMU, wheel spin sensor, and suspension step sensor.

With a double aluminum framework inherited from GSX-R1000 2012, which is common in the GSX-S1000 series, plus 17-inch rims, this bike looks dashing.

The performance is supported by a 998 cc-capacity 4-cylinder DOHC 4-klep engine with liquid cooling. This motor produces 147.9 dk of power at 11,000 rpm and a 105 Nm peak torque at 9,250 rpm, channeled through 6-speed transmission.

Various advanced features are embedded, including the same 6.5-inch LCD multi-information screen as GT, displaying vehicle information and smartphone connecting functions. The price is priced at 1,991,000 yen or around Rp209 million, with three available color options.
