3 Dead Tigers, Mayor Of Medan Will Temporarily Close Medan Zoo
Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution plans to close the Medan Zoo zoo. The closure was carried out after the appearance of three tigers from the Medan Zoo collection died in the last two months.
Bobby Nasution has also met with the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Zoo Association Conservation Institute (PKBSI) Rahmat Shah to discuss the closure of the zoo. The results of the meeting were agreed that the Medan City Government would temporarily close the Medan Zoo zoo.
The closure is due to construction. However, Bobby has not been able to detail what the construction of the Medan Zoo will be like.
"Just one day ago I met him (Rahmad Shah), and we agreed and conveyed to the Chairman of the Zoo Association Pak Rahmad Shah that we will close it (Medan Zoo). We will close the Medan Zoo but because of the construction," said the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, Thursday, January 18.
It is known that Medan Zoo's income is obtained from regional income, considering that this zoo is under the auspices of the Medan City Regional Public Company.
Previously, it was reported that the condition of the Medan Zoo zoo was in the spotlight by a number of animal observers, one of whom was the General Chair of the Indonesian Zoo Association Conservation Institute (PKBSI) Rahmat Shah. The reason is, in the last two months, three tigers from the Medan Zoo collection have died.
