Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Depart To Saudi Arabia Starting May 12
JAKARTA - Indonesian pilgrims will depart for Saudi Arabia starting May 12, 2024 according to the Hajj Travel Plan of 1445 Hijri/2024 AD issued by the Ministry of Religion.
"Indonesian pilgrims will start leaving for the Holy Land starting May 12, 2024," said Director of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Religion, Hilman Latief, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 18.
Indonesia received a quota to send 241,000 people to the Holy Land to perform the pilgrimage in 2024.
Departure of Indonesian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will be carried out in two waves.
In the first wave, the congregation will depart from the country to Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport (AMAA) in Medina City from 12 to 23 May 2024.
In the second wave, the congregation will depart from the country to KING Abdul Azis International Airport (KAAIA) in Jeddahdari City May 21 to June 1, 2024.
As in previous years, the congregation will enter the dormitory the day before departing for the Holy Land.
According to the planned Hajj trip in 1445 Hijri/2024 AD,
The pilgrims are scheduled to enter the Hajj dormitory on May 11, 2024.
The first batch of pilgrims is scheduled to depart from Indonesia to the city of Medina from 12 to 23 May 2024.
Furthermore, the first batch of pilgrims will depart from Medina City to Makkah City from May 21 to June 1, 2024.

From May 24 to June 10, 2024, the second wave of pilgrims departed from Indonesia to Jeddah City. The departure of Indonesian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to end on June 10, 2024.
On June 14, 2024, pilgrims are scheduled to leave for Arafah from Makkah City and carry out wukufdi Arafah on 9 Zulhijah 1445 Hijri or 15 June 2024.
After the entire series of Hajj services is complete, Indonesian pilgrims who come in the first wave will be sent back to the country from Jeddah City from June 22 to July 3, 2024.
The first batch of pilgrims is scheduled to begin arriving in Indonesia on June 22, 2024.
The second batch of pilgrims are planned to depart from Makkahke Madinah City from June 26 to July 13, 2024 and be repatriated to the country from Medina from July 4 to 21, 2024.
The repatriation of the second batch of pilgrims to Indonesia is scheduled to be completed on July 22, 2024.
