KPK Asks Elected President To Play A Proposal For KPK Council Candidates With Integrity To Be Tested By The DPR
JAKARTA - KPK interim chairman Nawawi Pomolango asked for the commitment of the 2024-2029 presidents to take part in ensuring the capacity and integrity of the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas).
This was conveyed by Nawawi regarding the strengthening of the KPK institutions. According to him, the President has an important role for the KPK Council.
"The president has an important role in the electoral process in the candidate for leadership and the KPK Supervisory Board in the future. We ask that the president be committed to voting and handing over to the House of Representatives only qualified candidates, who technically have high competence and are proven to have integrity, the track record of candidates including information submitted by community groups," said Nawawi in PAKU Integrity (Strengthening Anti-Corruption for 2024 presidential and vice presidential candidates) at the KPK, Wednesday, January 17.
The president's choice of candidates for the leadership of the KPK and the KPK Supervisory Board who are capable, with integrity and tested, continued Nawawi, shows a strengthening commitment to the KPK institution.
