JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team defender, Jordi Amat, shared the news after suffering an injury in the match against Iraq. Although he said his condition was improving, Jordi revealed that there were unusual things that had happened.

The Indonesian national team met Iraq in the inaugural match of Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup on January 15, 2024. In that match Jordi Amat played well in repelling the Mesopotamian Lion team's attack.

In the first half, Jordi was forced to leave because he was injured after colliding with Asnawi Mangkualam when blocking the ball with his head.

Unbalanced landing made Jordi fall and injured his hips. He then received treatment from the Indonesian national team of doctors until he was finally able to resume the match.

However, on the other hand, the impact caused the effect that Jordi had just felt when he was about to urinate. Due to the collision that caused the injury, Jordi admitted that when he urinated his urine was mixed with blood.

"Hi everyone, I appreciate your concern for my shoulders, everything is fine," in a statement shared on Instagram Story quoted on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

"I want to tell you that during the first half of the game, I took a hard hit on my hip. It caused blood urination in the first half," he continued.

Even so, Jordi Amat emphasized that his condition was not too worrying. After receiving treatment, he is now better and only remains to reduce pain in his hips.

"Good news? After 24 hours, I feel much better, now I just need to deal with hip pain."

"Focusing on recovery for the next battle," he said.

From this statement, it was known that Jordi was very serious in undergoing recovery in order to perform optimally in the follow-up match. After losing 1-3 to Iraq, the steps taken by the Indonesian national team in Group D of the 2023 Asian Cup are getting steeper.

The Indonesian national team must again prepare for Vietnam on the second matchday which will take place on Friday, January 19, 2024, and Japan as the final match on January 24, 2024.
