India Open 2024: Opponents Of Injury, Rehan/Lisa To The Second Round
JAKARTA - Mixed doubles pair Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati qualified for the round of 16 of the India Open 2024 without sweating.
Rehan/Lisa were supposed to meet representatives of Hong Kong, Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at noon WIB. However, their opponents resigned because Tse Ying Suet was injured.
"Rehan/Lisa got a walkover victory after the opponent decided to withdraw due to injury," wrote PBSI.
Rehan/Lisa became the third representative of Indonesia to get a ticket for the second half. Two tickets were previously secured by the men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and the women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung.

In the second round, Fajar/Rian, who is the sixth seed in the tournament, will meet Danish representatives, Rasmus Kjaer/Frederik Sogaard. Meanwhile, Gregoria will face the women's singles Yeo Jia Min from Singapore.
So far, Indonesia has also lost three representatives who immediately fell in the first half. Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, and Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari had to go home early.
